Breakfast - what's that then?

So thrilled to receive a recent review on Trip Advisor from, I presume, someone walking the Peddars Way and Coastal footpath who claimed 'and the best breakfast of the week was here'.

So what exactly is the Best Breakfast?

Freshly squeezed orange juice (never the bought stuff),
Fruit that is available and prepared for eating.
Yoghurts and cereals out of packets (so that you know what they really are).
Newly laid eggs, bacon that tastes and the famous Swaffham Sizzler, both from the Butcher, mushrooms and Norfolk grown tomatoes.
Good sliced toast, proper tea and freshly ground Colombian coffee.
And Quiet .................

"And now leave me in peace for a bit! I don't want to answer a string of questions while I am eating. I want to think!"
"Good Heavens!" said Pippin "At breakfast?"

St Jude

St. Jude seemed to pass us by without any damage however this morning was a chilly start with a big frost. My lovely weekend guests wrote 'Thank you for a wonderful stay.  I JUST LOVE YOUR HOUSE!!!!!

Brian and friends

Last night's guests included  a father and son walking the Peddars Way. Father chose to rest his blisters in a warm comfy bed while son went for the 'Ray Mears' option and camped in the field with Brian. Brian looks frightfully smart carrying his own food in his panniers.

The sunshine has shaken out the walkers and we have several staying who, while enjoying an annual reunion are walking the Peddars Way.

Flower prints bought from the RHS and framed locally have brightened up the B & B bedrooms and a wedding in Castle Acre tomorrow means that it is very full house.

Big Smoke

A night in London and away from home, this morning I indulged in Loretta's big breakfast in Bell Street. Delicious fried egg, mushroom bacon and sausage which set me up for the whole day enabling me to spend all day researching in Hackney Archives without a break. This just shows how important this meal really is. Dinner in the evening with two lovely nieces was also a delight.

Welcome to one and all ..

It seems only fair to mark the start of the Tudor Lodgings Blog with a warm hello. I look forward to adding more, and no doubt a great variety of more too, in due course.

Meanwhile TL is enormously looking forward to the new season. 2013 is with us. We're ready, and very much looking forward to seeing you, either again .. or afresh.

With every best wish,
